World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items are an essential aspect of preparing your character. Upgrades increase item damage and enhancements.
They also provide bonus effects and enhancements. They are available by contacting the Blacksmith.
Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Every item recycled adds a level to the gauge of upgrade.
Weapon
When an item is upgraded, it is granted an initial damage bonus, as well as a scaling factor that can affect other stats. The weapon can also be upgraded with a number of upgrade components that provide additional features or effects, and some have unique cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets. They generally require that the item has an upgrade slot available and meet certain specifications. When a weapon or armor piece has an upgrade component in it, the item can be upgraded, but the prior upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be recovered by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool, or using a salvage tool of high-end quality on the item the item.
A weapon can also be upgraded to include a Calibration attribute that improves certain stats, like Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. Based on the level of the weapon the process can be repeated up to four times.
After the weapon has reached its maximum upgrade and is then modified to give different bonuses and effects, or to improve specific stats. A variety of these upgrades can be re-applied at once, and their effects differ based on the quality of the weapon.
Two Blacksmiths can perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons, and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the kind of damage a weapon deals.
In general, it's best to increase the damage of your weapon first. Then, you can upgrade your armor defense, and then those secondary stats required by your build. Particularly, it is common to see melee druids upgrading their weapon before any other gear, since this will increase DPS. This is particularly true for enchantments, which can be extremely effective in boosting the damage of a weapon and other stats.
Armor
Item Upgrades allow players to improve the base stats of certain armor pieces, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. They can also provide other effects, such as an increase in damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item upgrades are available through crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, loot drop or as rewards for quests.
Armor can be improved by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. Most armor will upgrade to the next level after an upgrade. This is possible for any type of armor, but certain items are not upgradeable in any way (such as the armor that is used as a starter in Great Sky Island).
The majority of armor upgrades boost the item's strength or defense by just a little. However, some upgrade components can give significant improvements in strength or defense, particularly when upgrading an item that is epic.
Some upgrades provide special abilities that can be activated while wearing armor. These abilities can be useful in combat, such as giving a boost to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades provide effect that are passive and can be useful like the ability to reduce damage while wearing armor or enhancing the chance to dodge an attack.
Based on the type of armor being used, upgrading an item may require multiple tries. If a player is looking to upgrade Steelclash armor to Dragonscale, then the first attempt will result in a new Dragonscale armor with an armor base defense of 59-67. The second attempt will result in a Dragonscale armor that has a base defense of between 67-77.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To do so, they must visit each of the four locations referred to as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations holds an incredibly powerful fairy who can upgrade one piece of armor for the player.
Contrary to popular belief, armor in The Division 2 is not in any way useless. The reality is that some armors come with very substantial boosts to poison or curse, fire, or magic damage reduction, which makes them extremely useful for certain types of builds. There are also ways to boost armor stats beyond the use of upgradeable armor such as the engineer trait to increase armor penetration or the challenger trait that reduces total weight.
Potion
A potion can be upgraded by placing it in a brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a brand new level of potion effects, and can be repeated for higher levels of potency.
The potions also gain the ability to select a custom color that can be set by the player via the /give. This color will affect the area-of-effect clouds as well as the arrows that are generated. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion color also affects the particle effects of the potions.
The water bottle, the mundane thick and awkward potions now have a new brewing texture. Added potion of weakness and potion of healing in Creative inventory. There are lingering potions available that can be brewed with dragon breath or splash potions, and a thick potion with the status effect Mining Fatigue (duration 4:00). Trinket
A trinket can be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece jewelry. It can be a ring or necklace. Or, it could be a tiny banner that marks the yard of a lateen boat. It could also be a reference to a trinket that is gilded on the mast of a vessel.
This bizarre trinket is believed to be influencing denizens in this maze by making them more prevalent. At its current level, this trinket makes all types of mimic Xx more common, and gives each floor an X% chance to contain an ebony mimic. item upgrading requires a small amount of energy to upgrade.
The magic of this enchanted scepter appears to be affecting the dungeon itself which makes it more likely to generate water and grass. This trinket at the moment, will cause X% of the regular floors to be filled with water or grass. It doesn't alter glyphs, enchantments, cursed weapons or armor, or other items that are created to help solve danger rooms.
The item, which appears like eyes of a newt, seems to affect your vision in a manner that goes beyond merely narrowing your field of vision. This trinket, in its current level, increases the health benefits gained from drinking healing potions and wells of life by X% and grants mind sight on enemies within the Y tile. This is not a stacking feature with Heightened Senses.
Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after completing the Mastery Cave. You can find them after defeating Monsters and chests and crates. They can't be found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
Place the trinket in the Anvil whenever it is required to be upgraded. This will cause a random effect on the trinket either prolonging its life or enhancing its effects. You can reuse the Trinket as often as you want, but it will always be able to produce an effect that is new.
You can also enhance your Trinkets by placing them in a Magical Catalyst located at the Alchemy Station. This will cost 6 energy, but increase the trinkets power by a small amount.
