WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades, also referred to as "upping" are enchantments or items that can be used to boost the stats of weapons and armor. These upgrade components add a certain number of points to a level gauge for the item, with their cost increasing in proportion to their rarity.
The melee PvP scene highly values the perfect roll of armor due to its ability reduce weapon damage.
Type-restricted upgrades

Upgrades are a vital part of the equipment crafting process. Upgrades can increase the effectiveness of an item, enhance its strength, or even provide an added benefit. They can also alter the appearance of an item. Some upgrades are universal, whereas others are governed by specific rules for armor and weapons. Making the wrong upgrade could ruin a excellent weapon, and could even cause it to become ineffective.
A general rule is that you can only upgrade a piece of equipment to the standard of the highest-level equipment in its class. You can only upgrade helms up to the highest level. Weapons can be upgraded to the level equivalent of the sword. However, this doesn't boost the weapon's damage output, but could decrease its value in trade.
To upgrade an item, you need to purchase flightstones and crests. The amount of each depends on the item's level and slot. For example upgrading a sword will cost more flightstones than upgrading a cloak or bracers. You can also receive discounts on the number of flightstones or crests needed to upgrade an item.
Upgrading an item fills up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step raises Tier level by one-third. The highest Tier level is Tier 3. Based on the item it will require a different number of upgrades to reach this point. It is important to remember that any process that can be used to mount a disk must not be running when upgrading. Also, you must ensure that the disk you're upgrading is not being used as an operating system drive.
Enchantment is a feature that allows you to transform white or Common items into blue or rare ones. It can be done at Eleanor's enchantment shop located in the Capital District. This method does not add gems or rune slots to the equipment however, it alters the size of the equipment. It increases the equipment's size by two categories smaller. For example an example, an armored Stormtrooper armor is Medium, and the Blaster Pistol Small.
upgrade item are upgrades that can be used on any kind of equipment. This includes weapons, armor and trinkets. Upgrade components can be obtained through Side Quests or random drops. Universal upgrades are either temporary or permanent and can also be combined with Power-Ups. They can be branching or linear.
The Universal Upgrade is when "internal technologies" can provide sentient creatures new capabilities that they would be unlikely to develop naturally. Implants and prostheses are two examples of internal technology. This type of upgrade is different from medical internal technology that is designed to restore the natural capabilities. It is the start of the process that will alter civilizations completely. The universal upgrade is a complex procedure that can take several years to complete. However, the process can be divided into two different types: full success and partial failure.
It's similar to the way resort upgrades are implemented at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW it is typically due to operational needs such as availability of rooms or overbooking. In the case of Universal is involved, it may be to move guests to a different resort that is open. This is not intended to be a sarcastic comment however in the current climate it might be impossible to avoid.
Contrary to Runes, Sigils and Jewels that can only be applied to specific types of equipment (armor trinkets, weapons, or) universal upgrades can be applied to any gear. They can also be applied to multiple items at once. They are therefore more flexible than any other upgrade type. However, this flexibility may cause issues when upgrading items within the same gear path because it can increase the item level of all pieces in that path.
Prior to performing an upgrade, it is important to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the existing application files. After that you can install the new files using the Get-ChildItem-Recurse or Unblock-File commands. It is also recommended to perform a basic checks against your PSU server to ensure that it functions correctly.
Jewels
Jewels can be incorporated into weapons, armor or other accessories. The gems and reagents that are used to make them can provide different stat bonuses and secondary effect. They are available in Golden Chests and Rift Incursions. They can be purchased from a Master craftsman for gold or Karma. Jewels can be crafted using a jewelry table by using 5 of the same reagent type and 1 gem to create an item with an upper or lower tier. This is similar to upgrading a stone the gemcrafting table.
Jewel tiers are based on the number of modifiers they have and higher-tier jewels have more modifiers than those of lower tier. The primary effect of a jewel is determined by the tier it is and the secondary effect is randomly generated; players can use luck potions to increase the probability of obtaining better secondary effects.
Like other upgrade components jewels can be put into an item that has an appropriate socket to boost the. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost the strength of an item however, a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's strong attacks. Jewels can be inserted into all levels of armor, weapon, and accessory slots, as well as some trinkets of exotic or lower rarity which require a slot to be empty.
Gems are a specific mechanic for DMs that allows items to feel special to their owners. Through offering a variety of different upgrade paths, jewels allow players to alter their equipment to find the right combination for them. They can upgrade their equipment by purchasing new gems if they feel the existing set is no longer appropriate.
Requirements
WoW's item upgrade system allows players to increase the item levels of weapons, set pieces of equipment and trinkets over their current level of items from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. These upgrades increase the stats of items and some also have special effects. (For instance, Dolphin's grace gives swimmers the same grace as dolphins). Players can obtain these upgrades at any upgrader NPC or by salvaging the items that contain them, with a variety of items dropping different upgrade components.
The process of upgrading is somewhat complicated, but it's simple. Firstly, the player selects the item they want to upgrade and then click on the Upgrade button. A window will appear showing the various upgrades available for that item. The window will display the upgrade level, the type of upgrade bonus (such a Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The bonus for upgrading will be shown below the bar which shows the upgrade level.
The upgrader will require the user to take the item to the upgrader, who will then explain the process of upgrading the item. The player will then need to provide the correct currency and, if required additional materials. The requirements for this are determined by the level of the item. Weapons have more stringent requirements as opposed to armor.
Many upgrade recipes include the list of acceptable material' in addition to the necessary components. This list lists the other upgrade components can be used on the item, as well as a flag indicating whether that item has a guaranteed boost or additional effect. This is important as the value of an upgrade can vary greatly depending on its 'extras. For instance, perfectly rolled gear can be worth more than a non-upgraded model.
The list of upgrades that require valorstones or crests will be shown separately below the main list. The number of crests and valorstones required will depend on the level of the item. Weapon upgrades require the most Valorstones.
